Design Partner (Co-Development) Program

Scale Your Best Hardware Expertise Across Every Design Team.

Engentica converts siloed EMC, SI and PI design expertise, internal standards, expert judgment, and hard won lessons into validated expertise packs that surface automatically at the point of design - helping every engineer to consistently design to a high standard.

Built by the EMC FastPass team

Delivering EMC, SI and PI online training since 2014.

Past training clients include

The Cost of the Status Quo

Problems every hardware programme recognises.

If any of these sound familiar, Engentica was built for your team.

Costly re-spins

Board re-spins averaging $25k–$150k and 4–12 weeks. Issues that should have been caught in review reach fabrication instead.

Schedule pressure

EMC pre-compliance and certification delays threaten product launch. Compliance work gets compressed into the final weeks before shipment.

Expertise that doesn't scale

Your best EMC engineer's knowledge is in their head, in app notes, in test reports. It exists, but it can't be in every design review.

Lessons not learned

The same failure modes repeat across projects. Test reports, root cause analyses, and case studies exist. They never surface during design.

Complex standards burden

MIL-STD-461, DO-160, IEC 61000, and automotive or medical standards add compliance scope. Review time keeps shrinking.

Distributed hardware teams

Design quality varies across distributed teams and contract sites. Consistent standards enforcement is hard to maintain.

Put your best subject matter experts beside every engineer.

Not after the test report. Not after the re-spin. At the point of design, when it still costs nothing to fix.

Expertise Packs

Your team's guidelines. Surfaced when engineers need them.

Engentica ships with built-in expertise packs covering EMC, SI and PI topics. Add your own on top: best practice guides, internal standards, parts preferences, or past failure analyses. All surface automatically when relevant. The knowledge stays even when the engineer who earned it doesn't.

Consistent Review

Every design reviewed to the same standard.

Review quality shouldn't depend on who's in the room or how much time the team has. Engentica runs the same checks on every design. The same issues get flagged whether a senior EMC engineer reviews or a junior is on their third board.

Every design reviewed to the same standard.
Interactive Investigation

Investigate findings. Don't just receive them.

Most review tools hand engineers a list and stop there. With Engentica, engineers can investigate every finding further. Ask why it was flagged, what the risk is, and what to change.

Answers are grounded in your actual circuit data and your company's requirements - automatically surfaced from your custom expertise packs.

On the Roadmap

Encode your standards directly into the review engine.

Your organisation's standards belong in the review engine, not a document nobody checks. Custom rule packs will encode preferred components, mandatory protection requirements, and sector standards like DO-160 and MIL-STD-461 into automated checks. Design partners have direct input into how this gets built.

Design partners help define rule categories, org-standard enforcement, and sector-specific coverage.

PCB Layout Review

Catch the layout problems that fail EMC before the board goes out.

Layout problems that cause EMC failures are hard to catch in manual review. Engentica flags return-path issues, reference-plane transitions, and placement problems automatically. Each finding links back to the relevant circuit context.

Data Security

Your IP stays exactly where it belongs.

Engentica is a Windows desktop application. Design files stay on your machine. There are no Engentica servers. The only external connection is to your chosen LLM provider, which receives context snippets only.

  • Windows desktop app. No Engentica cloud or servers.
  • Design files never leave your machine.
  • LLM providers receive context snippets only. Never full design files.
  • Bring your own LLM endpoint for full control over where data goes.

Designed for aerospace, defense, and automotive programmes where schematics and layouts are subject to export control or IP protection requirements.

LLM deployment options

DefaultCloud LLM

AI processing uses relevant context snippets from your design and datasheets - not full files. Supported providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini. Data is never stored or used to train models.

Secure GatewayCustomer-controlled

Use your own LLM endpoint - Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or a corporate AI gateway. Design context goes through your infrastructure, not ours.

Ideal Partner Profile

Who we're looking to work with

We're running a paid co-development pilot with up to 5 organisations. We keep the number small to keep the collaboration deep: joint rule development, real design workflows, and optional custom expertise packs built from your internal expertise.

  • Multiple PCB design teams across sites, product lines, or business units
  • Specialist EMC engineers whose review time is oversubscribed
  • 5+ PCB designs per year with compliance review requirements
  • Past re-spins from preventable design or compliance issues

Stop the next preventable re-spin

Apply to work through a real design alongside us.

How the pilot works

Structured around your team's needs. Scope and pace are flexible.

  1. Share a representative designUnder NDA. Lets us assess CAD format feasibility and scope a practical evaluation against your actual workflows.
  2. Scoped evaluation sprintEngentica runs against your real designs. You see what it surfaces, what it misses, and whether it fits your review process.
  3. Co-development pilotWe build DRCs, expertise packs, and CAD integrations specific to your team. Deployment model aligned to your IT and legal requirements.
  4. Production deploymentAnnual enterprise license scoped against proven requirements - users, deployment model, customisation, and support.
We keep the cohort small so each company has real influence over what gets built: which CAD formats, which DRCs, which expertise packs, and what the roadmap prioritises.
